Paper Roll Pen Stand

Kids can be kept busy with this art.  Easy and fun to make and the end product is extremely useful!


Materials Required:
1 empty tin
Few sheets from a glossy Magazine
Glue
Scissors
Paint Brush
Waste Cloth
Mixing Pallette
Brown and Yellow Oil Paint
Varnish

Method:
From one end of the Magazine sheet roll into a long stick / pipe.

Stick the edge with Glue.  Prepare 20 – 30 depending on the size of the tin chosen.

Using glue, stick the paper sticks all around the tin.

Cut the paper stick to the length of the tin.

Paint the paper sticks with brown and yellow oil color or any color of your choice.

Cut out small strips of paper and stick at the bottom and top of the prepared tin as shown in the pictures below.

Using the tin with the sticks, mark a circle on a magazine and cut the circle to paste it on top of the tin to conceal the edges of the sticks.

Paint the strips with brown and yellow or any other color of your choice.

Let it dry.  Apply a coat of varnish and let it dry.

It is now ready to use as a pen stand, spoon stand, or comb stand.
