Cucumber Gondola is a Cucumber Carving in the shape of a Gondola. Vegetable carving is an interesting hobby for children and adults.
Materials Required for making Cucumber Gondola:
A small curved Cucumber
Vegetable cutting/carving knifes
Method:
Cut a slice off the bottom side (the curve facing up) of the Cucumber to make the cucumber stand as shown in Picture1.

Mark to divide the Cucumber into three parts as shown in Picture2.

Cut along the lines leaving the middle portion intact as shown in Picture3.

Carve designs on top of the Gondola. Scoop out the inside of the Cucumber as shown in Picture4.

Cut notches with a straight knife around the edges as shown in Picture5.

Keep two toothpicks as oars, tiny toys can be placed inside to pose as a boatman. You can use this boat to serve Chutneys and Dips.
