Aster Flowers using Paper

Aster Flowers

Materials required and the method to make Aster flowers using paper is explained in this post.

Material Required:
Kite paper also known as Jelly Paper
Thin wires
Green Tape
Yellow Crepe Paper
Green Crepe Paper for the Calyx
Scissor
White Gum

Method:
Cut the paper into 3 or 4, 2 cm squares.

Fold twice to form a triangle as shown in the picture below.

Fold again as shown in the picture below and cut the extra paper jutting out.

Cut the layers from both sides to get a spear shape.

Open the folding as shown in the picture below.

Cut the Green paper for the Calyx.

Cut a 1 cm width and 2.5 cm long yellow crepe paper for the center.  Cut slits half way down as shown in the picture below.

Use gum and roll the uncut side of the yellow paper on the wire.

Bead the flower shaped paper into the wire.

 

Complete by beading all the petals into the wire.

Attach the Calyx below the petals using gum.

 

Repeat the process for all the flowers.

 

Arrange in a vase.
