Masala Lassi

Flavored salty Buttermilk.  The spices in Indian dishes can be pretty harsh on the tummy, hence the food is usually washed down by a glass of Lassi to cool it.  This is a favorite  in Punjab.

Time Required: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
1 liter Buttermilk
1tsp Lemon Juice
1/2tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
Salt to taste

For the Masala:
Few Curry Leaves
2tbsp Coriander Leaves
1/2 Green Chili
1″ piece Ginger

Method:
Add Lemon Juice, Asafoetida and Salt to Buttermilk, mix well and keep it aside. Grind Curry leaves, Coriander leaves, Green Chilies and Ginger to a paste. Mix this paste to the Buttermilk and sieve it. Pour into glasses and serve.
