Paneer Gulabi

Paneer Gulabi using Crepe Paper – Paneer Gulabi is a fragrant rose grown in most parts of India.  This variety of Rose is used to make Gulcan and Rose Syrup because of the fragrance and color.

Materials required:
Pink Crepe Paper
Green Gum Tape
Few 12 inch long Stem wires
Few Leaves
Gum
Scissor
Green Crepe Paper

Method:
Cut one inch width strips of Crepe paper.

Cut the strips into 1 inch by 1 inch squares. Cut out the petal shape on one end as shown in the picture below.

Make small round balls using the pink crepe paper.

Take one square piece and fold to form a triangle.

Cover the triangle over the small round balls to form the center of the Rose.

Tie the covered balls to a stick.

Lightly apply pressure in the middle of the petals to stretch.

Stick the petals one by one overlapping each other around the center.

Continue for all the petals.

Depending on the size of the Rose you want you can continue to add the petals.

Check periodically whether it resembles the real Rose.

Cut three triangles from the Green paper. Attach them to the bottom of the flower to form calyx.

Wrap the stick with Green Gum tape, adding leaves as required.

Arrange the Roses in a container.
