Godi Payasa

Pudding prepared using Broken Wheat and Coconut Milk.  It is extremely tasty and is also known as Godi Huggi in North Karnataka.

Serves: 4

Godi Huggi / Payasa

Ingredients:
1 Cup Broken Wheat
½ Cup Jaggery
1tbsp Bengal Gram Dal
1tbsp Raw Rice
1 Cup Coconut Milk
tsp Elaichi/Cardamom Powder
1tbsp Chopped Nuts (Cashewnuts, Badam/Almonds/Pistachios)

Method:

Cook Broken Wheat, Bengal Gram and Rice in a pressure cooker. Remove to a thick-bottomed vessel and add Jaggery and Coconut Milk. Cook for 5 minutes. Add Elaichi Powder and Nuts. Mix well. Serve hot or cold.
