Sweet Chutney is prepared using Tamarind and Dates. This is a tangy and sweet chutney used in preparation of Chaats.
Time Required: 30 Minutes
1 Cup Tamarind Pulp
3/4 Cup Grated Jaggery
1tsp Crush Saunf (Aniseed)
1/4 tsp Roasted Jeera Powder
1/4 tsp Chili Powder (Optional)
Salt to taste
Mix everything together and let it cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Sieve the mixture. Again boil the sieved mixture until it reaches Honey consistency. Cool the chutney and remove in airtight containers. Store in refrigerator.
Sweet Chutney is used in almost all types of Chaats.
