Sabudana Idli

Steamed cakes prepared using Sabakki / Sago Pearls.

Time Required: 30 Minutes + Soaking time

Sabudana Idli

Ingredients:
2 Cups Upittu Rava / Semolina
1 Cup Sabudana
2 – 3 Cups of Curds / Yoghurt
1 Cup Grated Coconut
Few sprigs of Coriander Chopped
Few Curry Leaves, Chopped finely
2 Green Chilies, Chopped finely
1 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
Salt to taste

Sabudana Idli

Method:
Soak Sabudana for 4 to 5 hours. Roast Rava for two minutes. Mix Rava and Sabudana.

Sabakki Idli

Heat Oil and add Mustard Seeds, when they splutter, add Curry leaves and Green Chilies.

Sabudana Idli

Add this seasoning to Sabudana-Rava mixture. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Sabudana Idli

Grease Idli plates and pour spoonful of the mixture into them. Steam for 15 minutes.

Serve hot with chutney.
