- For fluffy Dosa batter, grind urad dal (black gram split) by adding water little by little in regular intervals while grinding. To test, when a tsp of urad dal batter is dropped in a bowl of water, it should float.
- The rice and water ratio for cooking biryani is 2 :1 ½ . Pressure cook for one whistle in high flame and simmer for 5 to 7 min.
- Freshly cut flowers will stay longer if you add ¼ tsp. bleach per liter of vase water.
