Rasayana

A sweet dish prepared using ripe Banana and Jaggery. This is prepared as Prasad/offering while performing pooja

Time Required: 15 Minutes

Rasayana Ingredients:
2 Ripe Bananas
½ Cup Grated Jaggery
½ Cup Grated fresh Coconut
½ tsp Cardamom Powder

Method:
Cut the Bananas into roundels or small pieces and remove to a mixing bowl. Add the other ingredients and mix well.

Mango Shikarani

This sweet dish is prepared from the pulp of ripe mangoes. During summer this dish is prepared in households of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Time Required: 20 Minutes

Mango Shikarni
Ingredients:
10 Ripe Mangoes (Preferably Raspuri or Badami/Alphonso Variety)
12tsp of Sugar
A pinch of Salt
1/2 Cup Milk
1 or 2tsp of Melted Ghee (Clarified Butter)

Method:
Squeeze out the pulp from the Mangoes in a bowl and add the other ingredients to it except for the Ghee and mix well by mashing the fruit, so that a smooth consistency is achieved. If you require very smooth liquid then can run the mixture in a liquidizer.
