Curry prepared using Onions or Shallots. This is best eaten with plain Rice, Idlis/Rice Cakes and Pancakes/Dosas

Ingredients:
2 medium sized Onions, Chopped into big pieces or 20 Shallots, Peeled
1 Tomato, Chopped
1 small lemon sized Tamarind soaked in water
3/4 Cup Tur Dal/Red Gram Split
3tbsp Sambar Powder
1/2 Cup Fresh Coconut
1 small piece Jaggery/Molasses (Optional)
Salt to taste

1 Carrot
1 Cherry Tomatoes
1 Onion
1 small Cucumber
Few Olives
For the dressing:
1 tsp Olive Oil
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
Salt to taste
Method:
Slice the vegetables thin and an inch long. Mix the ingredients for the dressing in a bowl. Just before serving add the dressing to the vegetables and toss them in a salad bowl and serve.
Ingredients:
2 Guavas (medium ripe)
1 large Apple
3 cups Potato, Boiled
½ cup Onion, Chopped finely
3 ripe Bananas
1 cup Seedless Grapes
1 ripe Tomato
1 Green Chill, Chopped finley (Optional)
Juice of 1 Lemon
Salt, Pepper and Red chilli powder to taste
1 tsp Roasted Jeera/Cumin Powder
15 Mint Leaves, Chopped
2 sprigs Coriander Leaves, Chopped
Method:
Cut the boiled Potatoes, Apples and Guavas into cubes. Cut the Bananas into thick roundels and the grapes in halves. Cut the tomato into thick chunks. Combine all the Fruits and Potatoes in a big bowl. Add Onions, Tomato chunks and Green Chillies. Sprinkle the spices and the lemon juice. Mix it well with a flat spoon, along with half of the coriander and the mint leaves. Serve garnished with the rest of the Coriander and Mint leaves.
Ingredients:
1(100gms) Cucumber
1/2 Cup (100gms) Mint Leaves
3 Spring Onions
Lemon Juice to taste
Salt and Pepper to taste
Method:
Peel and chop the Cucumber, reserving a few slices for garnishing. Liquidise Cucumber, Spring Onions and the remaining ingredients. Add cold water if required. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Garnish with Cucumber slices and chill before serving.
