Ingredients:
Few slices of Bread
1 Carrot
1 Onions
1 Cup finely chopped Cabbage
1 Small bunch of Spring Onions
2 Chopped Green Chilies
3tsp Tomato Ketchup
2tsp Chili Sauce
½ Cup grated Mozzarella Cheese
2tbsp Butter
Salt to taste
Vegetable Au Gratin is a casserole prepared using vegetables in a cheesy sauce.
Time Required: 45 Minutes
Serves: 4 Ingredients:
1 Potato
2 Carrots
1 Cup Shelled Peas
10 French Beans
For the white sauce:
1 Cup Milk
4 Pods Garlic
1 Onion
2tbsp Refined Flour/Maida
2tbsp Butter
1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese
1/2 tsp White Pepper
1/4 Cup Cheese to gratinate
Salt to taste
Method:
Peel Potatoes and Carrots and dice them, string the Beans and chop into 1 Cm long pieces. Steam the vegetables and keep it aside.
Ingredients:
8 Plain Bread Slices
1/2 Cup Shredded Cabbage
1/2 Cup Cucumber, Chopped long and thin
1/2 Cup Carrots, Chopped long and thin
1/2 Cup Onions, Sliced
Cheese, Grated
1/2 tsp Oregano or Basil
Chili Flakes or Green Chilies, Chopped finely (Optional)
Salt to taste
Method:
In a bowl mix all the ingredients. On a slice of Bread, spread the mixture and place another slice of Bread over it. Keep this in a griller and grill for 5 minutes. Remove cut the sandwiches and serve with Tomato Ketchup.
Method:
Arrange pieces of vegetable over each slice of bread, sprinkle some Chili Flakes and lots of Cheese over it and bake until the Cheese melts. Serve with Tomato Ketchup.
Note: Olives, Gherkins, Sweet Corn, Jalepenos and Baby Corn can be added.
