Sankranthi Yellu

A mixture of Sesame Seeds, Molasses, Coconut, Groundnuts and Fried Gram.  In Karnataka this is prepared during Sankranthi festival and distributed among friends and family along with Sakkare Achchu/Sugar models, Plantain and Sugarcane piece.

Shankranthi Yellu

Ingredients:
1 Cup Bella / Jaggery, Chopped into Pieces
1 Cup Dry Coconut, Peeled and chopped into small pieces
1 Cup Groundnuts
1 Cup Fried Gram
1 Cup Sesame Seeds

Method:
Roast Groundnuts and peel them.  Roast Sesame Seeds.  Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and store Sankranthi Yellu in dry airtight containers.
