Hi Nadia…I am not aware of EMALA hair oil. Amla means Indian Gooseberry and it is supposed to be very good for hair growth. The spelling can be AMALA too…hope this helps.

Hi Mohit,
I don’t know where you can get Brahmi leaves in Delhi. You might get dried ones in ayurvedic stores. Yes you can prepare this oil using Coconut Oil too.

Hi,
I am having grey hair since my early 20s of age and it is still growing. Please advice if you have any solution to this problem. thanks.
Hi Jayanti,
Premature graying can be due to many reasons including hereditary. I can only suggest that you consult a good skin and hair doctor.
My grandparents and parents have been preparing this Oil at home for a long time and they vouch it to be the best for healthy hair.
All the best,
Nirupama

Dear Nirupama,
Website is fantastic really… Lots of information here, for ladies especially, shows that you are a genius in many areas..
Hey 1 suggestion.. You can also create a tab for people to post their articles as well right.. This can make this site an encyclopedia of information for ladies…
BTW, what is your zodiac sign…
Thanks,
Madhura.
Hey Madhura, Thanks for your encouraging words. Your suggestion for guest articles is good…but I need to invest a lot for the server as the space needed will be more. I will definitely add it in the future.
My zodiac sign is Capricorn

Hi Nirupama, I’m interested in the Brahmi that you’re using. I’ve found a supplier in the US who sells two different plants (each of which have the common name “Brahmi”).
The leaves shown in your photo above look like Gotu Kola (Hydrocotyl asiatica). I may be wrong but I have read that this has different properties from the other plant also sometimes called Brahmi (Bacopa monniera).
Here are two links that I used for this info (which could of course be wrong!). I’d be interested to know your thoughts on this:

Hi Celidh,
Thank you for the links, I never knew that Brahmi shared its name with another plant. The Brahmi that I have used is Gotu Kola also known as Vandelaga (meaning single leaf) in Kannada.
Both seem to be non-toxic and used for cooking as well as in Ayurveda medicine. By the way I am not a botanist just a gardening and nature lover!
Warm Regards,
Nirupama
Hey Celidh,
I tried to post the following comment on your space in pbase, but was not successful. Here goes what I had to say about your pictures posted there -
The pictures are amazing especially the bird pictures. I have just bought a Nikon 5000 D and trying to learn using it. Most of the time I set it to Auto and keep clicking.
I will be a regular visitor here.
Best Wishes,
Nirupama
